History

An ability to ally tradition and modernism, classicism and innovation, of more than 60 years of age.

MONTREMO was founded in 1954 in La Chaux-de-Fonds by Ernst Morf, a manufacturer with a creative and imaginative spirit. The manufacture was named MONTREMO to recall its founder by adding his initials "E.Mo" to the word "Montre" (watch) to show our area of expertise.

In the early days, MONTREMO used to have different departments, such as "watch glasses", "dials" and "small clocks", but they quickly refocused to dedicate themselves totally to manufacturing dials for horology.

Family Morf sold MONTREMO in 2000, and the manufactory, under the impulse of Mr Giuseppe Carrubba, evolved and grew to become the one we know now, a dial manufactory mastering the fabrication process in its entirety.

MONTREMO has remained an independent family enterprise, well anchored in La Chaux-de-Fonds, and financially linked to no watchmaking brand or group. It is managed by three people, the leader Mr Giuseppe Carrubba, supported by his sons, Michael and Alexandre.
